The 2015 PIDD was held at Casuarina @ Meru Hotel, Ipoh, Perak, from 19 to 21 October 2015.

As part of the Pangkor International Development Dialogue, PADU has organized a satellite event focusing on education in Perak. The satellite event titled “Sustaining Education Excellence in Perak” comprises of gallery walk, talks and focus group discussion. The event was well received with a diverse group of stakeholders including federal and state government agencies, NGOs, teachers, parents and foreign delegates. The satellite event was organized in partnership with the Perak State Exco for Education, Science, Environment and Green Technology, YB. Dato’ Dr. Muhammad Amin Bin Zakaria, assisted by UKM and the Perak State Education Office.

Among the issues discussed were the support for students with low socioeconomic status, education for indigenous children in Perak, as well as parent, community and private sector involvement in education.
